I've been helping African American single moms with digital design for their small business practice to make a small positive impact with my humble skills.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
"You know, if we put all the colours together it makes it more prettier. Even a rainbow has seven colours," the 2021 Oscar award-winning actress, Yuh-jung Youn. Reflecting Youn's talk, I am a strong beliver that a diverse and inclusive environment establishes a sense of belonging and makes the world better place to live. Racial and ethnic minority populations are disproportionately represented among industries, which might be continuing, and I would like to continuously support women of colors with my humble skills to make a small change.
WHY AFRICAN AMERICAN?
Historically African Americans are inherently isolated to excess resources, and they are disproportionately segregated from some specific major racial group. Societal efforts to overcome the ill effects of prejudice and discrimination for African Americans have not been effective enough. And I would make a small change with my humble skills, at least around my surroundings.
WHY SINGLE MOM?
A lot of people need free service, but especially single moms. They are tied up with so many responsibilites to provide hot meals for their kids and keep the roofs over their heads. They have been going through so much harship, yet are an inspiration with all their accomplishment and the mark they are making in the world for their kids. I want to be a small supporting system they can relay on.
"There are so many ways you can help to make the world a better place. Find your talent and donate your time, skills or money to a cause you believe."
